Most Dometic refrigerators are engery sourced 3 ways;
240volt electric and 12volt electric & LPG (Liquified Propane Gas)
There 4 types of electric ignition to choose from which are;
AES: The AES-system (Automatic Energy Selector) selects the best energy source automatically and guarantees efficient coolong performance at all times. It features automatic re-ignition, manual energy selection is possible, too. Thermostatic control on all energy sources.
MES: The MES-system (Manual Energy Selector) also features the electronic re-ignition which registers a dying flame and automatically re-ignites it. Simply turn the controls to select the energy source. Thermostatic control on all energy sources.
PIEZO: With Piezo ignition the gas is ignited at the push of a button. As soon as the flame goes out the gas supply stops automatically. Thermostatic control on 240volt electric & gas operation.
BATTERY POWERED IGNITION: Works the same as Piezo Ignition but uses an 'AA' battery as the power source.
The new '8 Series' of fridges come hinged either on the left or the right. These fridges are marked as 'hinged' under the model number and is important to specify either left or right hinged at the time of ordering as the door hinges are unable to be reversed.
